As part of Work Package 3 – Think Outside the Box: Gamification of Media Literacy, our partnership is developing an innovative educational game designed to boost media literacy across all age groups. Inspired by UNESCO’s “Think Critically, Click Wisely!” and the European Commission’s guidelines on digital literacy, the ThinkTwice game is set to become a powerful tool for educators.

Adaptable for children (8–12), teens, and adults, the game explores key concepts like disinformation, misinformation, trolling, clickbait, and the importance of fact-checking. It can be used in various teaching settings—whether to introduce new topics, reinforce learning, or assign as part of a flipped classroom approach.

At the heart of this game lies “Clarity Quest: Beyond the Fog,” an imaginative journey through the mystical land of Mystica. Here, players act as truth seekers navigating a world clouded in fog—representing the confusion of today’s digital information landscape. Each correct answer clears away more fog, helping players uncover the truth and progress in their mission.

With age-specific objectives that grow in complexity—from understanding fake news in childhood to exploring the post-truth era and digital disinformation’s societal impact in adulthood—Clarity Quest makes media literacy accessible, fun, and deeply meaningful.
