We challenge you to do so!

The ThinkTwice project consortium is pleased to announce the launch of its new “Modular Workshop Concepts” manual.

This innovative resource has been developed to support educators and trainers in their pedagogical practices, promoting quality education in the digital age, through a set of 12 workshops covering everything from basic digital skills to complex media literacy issues.

This manual aims to provide educators with accessible and adaptable professional development opportunities, addressing the challenges and opportunities of today’s digital and media landscape. Each workshop is designed to last 90 minutes, ensuring that educators can participate without compromising their busy schedules.

The topics are presented in a dynamic and flexible way and are relevant to both in-service educators (primary and secondary education, adult education) and university students training in the education sector. We aim to improve the quality of education and promote a community of informed and competent professionals.

The modular workshops cover a wide range of topics, including:

– Digital skills (DigComp 2.2, DigCompEdu, DigCompOrg)

– Professional engagement and development with digital technologies

– Creating and sharing digital resources

– Managing teaching and learning with technologies

– Digital strategies for assessment

– Inclusion and personalization in teaching with digital tools

– Media and information literacy

– Combating disinformation and promoting truth in journalism

The courses have been structured to offer

– Introduction to fundamental concepts

– Interactive and collaborative sessions

– Case studies and practical examples

– Specific digital tools and resources for each group of educators

In September 2024, pilots of this manual will be carried out in several partner countries to test and refine the modular workshop concepts.

These pilots will involve three different groups of educators:

1. Primary or secondary school educators (active educators)

2.Educators working with adults (active educators)

3.University students who are completing their training to become educators (educators in training)

Each group will take part in a series of six 3-hour workshops, with sessions repeated three times in each partner country. The feedback gathered at each session will be key to adjusting and improving the workshops, ensuring that they respond to the needs of educators, promoting the continuous improvement of educational processes in this sector, empowering the educational community.
