On May 20, 2025, in the city of Palermo hosted the first Media Literacy Day. The event, held at Sala 2 of UCI Cinemas (Forum Palermo), brought together a vibrant audience for an engaging afternoon dedicated to exploring digital literacy and combating misinformation.

The Media Literacy Day was organized in collaboration with Professors Giuseppa Cappuccio and Gianna Cappello of the Department of Psychological, Pedagogical, Educational and Training Sciences (SPPEFF) at the University of Palermo. 

The agenda began with a welcome session and an introduction to the day’s objectives, followed by a presentation of the Think Twice project itself. Central to the event was the hands-on experience with the project’s new educational videogame, designed to stimulate critical thinking and media literacy. We also go through the other important milestones have been achieved so far, as such as the Think Ahead Guide.

Participants actively engaged with the group sessions and were invited to provide feedback. A coffee break and an open Q&A session rounded out the afternoon, offering space for dialogue and reflection.

Media Literacy Day in Palermo not only spotlighted the growing importance of critical media skills in education, but also reinforced the role of innovative tools in fostering nowadays digital awareness and resilience.
